The TeamJames G. Donahue, M.D., HCLD
Dr. Donahue has been in private practice in Indianapolis since 1995. Dr. Donahue completed a Master's Degree in Clinical Embryology at the University of Leeds, UK in 2005. This is one of only five programs in the world that has formalized training in Embryology by leaders in our field. Dr. Donahue feels that he will give more, and better quality, care to our patients undergoing IVF by having this extra specialized training. Dr. Donahue is certified as a High Complexity Laboratory Director (HCLD) by the American Board for Bio-Analysis in the disciplines of Embryology and Andrology. Only 4% of HCLDs are Medical Doctors, the rest being PhDs. Dr. Donahue’s Lab is certified by the College of American Pathology (CAP), and he is an inspector of other labs that CAP certifies. We feel that his background as an HCLD benefits our patients directly. His medical practice, Family Beginnings, PC has help thousands of patients in Central Indiana over the past 9 years. His practice name tells a lot about its caring professionals. Dr. Donahue is personally involved with all aspects of his patients care and is the only physician in this very busy practice. In late 2002, he moved his office to a larger North side location with an on-site IVF lab, egg retrieval room, and 4 recovery beds. This was done to offer more patients the opportunity to have IVF that might otherwise not try, due to financial considerations. In 2008 we moved to our current location. We designed the building, which we own, from the ground up with the IVF lab construction of paramount importance. Dr. Donahue is married. He and his wife of over 25 years, Renate, have a 19-year old son, Christian, a student at Purdue University. He was conceived with the help of fertility therapy in 1991, so Dr. Donahue knows first hand what our patients experience. He enjoys race walking Marathons, sailing, and reading. Roxanne Williams, BS, EmbryologistRoxanne has over 20 years experience in laboratory research and has been working in the IVF lab for almost a decade. We feel really lucky to work with her. She has the technical expertise, professionalism, and personal empathy that patients and colleagues sync with. She is always available to talk with our IVF patients. Our Nurse, Sherrie Eoff, RNSherrie has been working in women’s health for over 20 years. She has worked on labor and delivery throughout this time. For the past 7 years, she has been employed with Family Beginnings, PC. Sherrie does ultrasounds, IUI, and generally provides medical and emotional support to our patients. Sherrie really helps our patients on many levels and we are glad to work with her.
